Privacy Policy

• Your inventory, grocery lists, and recipes are stored on your device and synced to your household so every member sees the same kitchen. Cheekful works offline; you sign in once so your household can share one kitchen.
• We don't sell your personal information, and we never will.
• Optional features that use AI (like Smart Add and Use It Up suggestions) send only the specific text or image you provide to complete that request.

Kitchen data you enter. Items, quantities, expiration dates, locations, grocery lists, and recipes are stored locally on your device so the app is fast and works without a connection.

Content you send to AI features. When you use Smart Add (receipt photo or pasted text) or ask for Use It Up meal ideas, the content you submit is sent to our AI processing provider to generate a response. It is used to fulfill that request and is not used to build an advertising profile.

Your account and household. You sign in with Apple, Google, or a one-time email code. We store the email address or provider identifier tied to your account, the households you belong to, and the kitchen data those households share, so it can sync between members and devices. Household data is protected by per-user access rules on our servers.

No analytics trackers. Cheekful does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. To keep AI features fair, our servers keep a short-lived count of AI requests per account (the endpoint and a timestamp, not the content), deleted after 90 days.

• To generate AI suggestions you explicitly ask for.
• To keep your household's kitchen in sync across devices.
• To apply fair-use limits to AI features.

We do not use your kitchen data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

We share information only with service providers that help us run the app: the database provider that stores your account and synced household data, and the AI provider that powers Smart Add, recipe import, and meal suggestions. These providers may only use the information to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

• You can add, edit, and delete your items and lists at any time inside the app.
• Uninstalling the app removes the copy on that device. Deleting your account from Settings removes your account and, for households where you are the last member, their kitchen data from our servers.
• You can choose not to use AI-powered features; the rest of the app works without them.

Kitchen data stays on your device and in your household's synced copy until you delete it, leave the household, or delete your account. Content sent to AI features is retained only as long as needed to process your request and for our providers' standard operational periods.

Cheekful is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
